I’ve always been a proponent of astrology. Everyone needs something to believe in, right? Why is adhering to the moon and the stars anymore absurd than living by the codes of Gods and prophets?
We know our personalities, quirks and traits are formed by numerous things- from genetics to experiences – so why can’t the energy and alignment of the planets also have a small amount to do with it?
That being said, if you’re interested or believe in astrology, it’s important to know what celestial bodies make up your genetic code. This isn’t just what sign you are. It’s what house you’re born in, what moon you’re born under, what planets rule your unique personality.
According to Llewllyn’s Daily Planetary Guide, ‘the planets, signs, houses and aspects are the four astrological building blocks.
The eight planets along with the Sun and the Moon represent urges or needs we all have.
The signs describe the behavior a planet or house will use to express itself.
The twelve houses represents different life concerns – values, communications, creativity and so on.
“Each planet acts like the director of a department in a corporation and the corporation, is of course, you. For example, Mercury directs your Communication Department and Jupiter oversees your Growth Department.
The moon overseas the Department of Feelings – the ‘bringer of moods’. Her house and placement in your chart reveals how your intuition works, what your emotional needs are and how you want your needs met.
Now: Find out what house and sign your moon is in here.

How to Dissect It:
If the sign Taurus is next to Mars, you know your Mars is in Taurus. If the sign Libra is next to Venus, you know your Venus is in Libra. If Cancer is next to Ascendant, you have a Cancer Ascendant, and if Leo is next to II, Leo is on your 2nd house.
