On Friday, February 10th we will experience a Lunar Eclipse in conjunction with the Full Moon in Leo. The Full Moon of February is also called the Snow Moon. Full Moon Lunar Eclipses are intense and bring change. They force us to burn what no longer serves us in preparation for what is to come, leading us to the path we are meant to be on.

Harness the power of the Full Moon by letting go.

Leo themes: passion, pride, strong will, creativity, recognition, luxury, courage.

Leo rules our heart, and with that our passions. This moon calls for us to listen to our hearts, and offer up the things that no longer fit. For some of us this might be clear and liberating, and for others there still might be confusion or resistance.

I’d like to be what they call relaxed, but I churn, I always churn.
— Martha Gellhorn,

Regardless of the ‘rightness’ of our journey, change and the inner shift we are experiencing can feel unsettling. Try to surrender and accept.
We cannot control what is changing in our lives, whether it be relationships, circumstances, or realities surrounding our lives, and we must trust in the life we are creating for ourselves, even if it feels like completely new world / reality. The more we practice the art of letting go the more natural it becomes, until we move easily with the flow of life. We have to start somewhere, so start now. This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is about inner work – focus on what is going on within instead of what’s happening outside. Lunar Eclipses are an expansive time and allow us to go deeper within our hearts as long as we commit to doing so.

It is necessary to do this work now before the Solar Eclipse in Pisces on February 26th, which will bring with it new beginnings and opportunities. The next two weeks allow us time to make space for what is coming by releasing what is no longer relevant.

The moon is our mirror, and reflects back onto us. We must turn inward. Confusions arise when we look outside of ourselves for happiness and fulfillment. We must honor ourselves by honoring the things we know to be true: this can manifest in the cutting away of some ties in our lives in order to carve out space for what these changes are bringing. We are supported by Leo’s energies to be brave and confident, so trust in your inner strength and your manifestations.

Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live in every experience, painful or joyous, to live in gratitude for every moment, to live abundantly.
— Dorothy Thompson

Leo governs our life purpose and this Full Moon is calling us to honor our authentic place in the world and live our truth. This isn’t easy for those of us who are struggling with what exactly that means for us personally.
The Full Moon is a time of illumination, and emotions rise as truths come to the surface. Any emotions we are experiencing are good and serve as an emotional cleansing, honor them and gain wisdom.

Journal and reflect as a means to give yourself some clarity and work through any confusion or emotional upheaval you are experiencing. Carve out purposeful time to contemplate these. If we are experiencing fear, what are we afraid of?
Draw a warm bath, light candles, allow yourself to cry if you need to. Allow your tears to wash away the things in our lives we are letting go of. Allow yourself to feel, and mourn if you need to, and then feel that weight lifted. Move forward lighter.

The most important journey you will take in your life will usually be the one of self transformation. Often, this is the scariest because it requires the greatest changes, in your life.
― Shannon L. Alder

Create space for the abundance by letting go. The Full Moon phase between the lunar and solar eclipse are a time to release our old stories, emotions, memories, jobs, relationships, whatever it might be, so we can get excited and inspired to fully embody our truth.

It is as fertile as it is chaotic, and it is up to us to make spin the pile of straw into gold.

When we work with the moon it can do wonderful things for us. Set you intention and offer it up, dig a little deeper, flow with the journey and trust in the beautiful manifestations that are coming.
