Tomorrow is the fall equinox and we could all use a little spiritual cleansing. There’s no better time to reset our mind, body and spirit than the beginning of a new season. The first step to resetting ourselves is learning how to heal ourselves.

Dubbed “the closest thing to a living saint” by the Australian media, Louise Hay is also known as one of the founders of the self-help movement. Her first book, Heal Your Body, was published in 1976, long before it was fashionable to discuss the connection between the mind and body. Revised and expanded in 1988, this best-selling book introduced Louise’s concepts to people in 33 different countries and has been translated into 25 languages throughout the world.

These mantras are from her books and should be repeated daily.

“I am in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing.”

“Every thought we think is creating our future. ”

“I say “out” to every negative thought that comes to my mind. No person, place, or thing has any power over me, for I am the only thinker in my mind. I create my own reality and everyone in it.”

“I have noticed that the universe loves gratitude. The more Grateful you are, the more goodies you get”

“You’ve been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.”

“I do not fix problems. I fix my thinking. Then problems fix themselves.”

“Your thoughts and beliefs of the past have created this moment, and all the moments up to this moment. What you are now choosing to believe and think and say will create the next moment and the next day and the next month and the next year.”

“Each day is a new opportunity. I chose to make this day a great one.”

“It is true if you believe it to be true.”

“When we create peace and harmony and balance in our minds, we will find it in our lives.”

“If we want a joyous life, we must think joyous thoughts. If we want a prosperous life, we must think prosperous thoughts. If we want a loving life, we must think loving thoughts. Whatever we send out mentally or verbally will come back to us in like form.”

“Self-approval and self-acceptance in the now are the main keys to positive changes in every area of our lives.”

“When there is a problem, there is not something to do, there is something to know.”

“Every Experience is a Success.”

“Would you really dig into yesterday’s garbage to make tonight’s meal? Do you dig into old mental garbage to create tomorrow’s experiences? If a thought or belief does not serve you, let it go! There is no written law that says that because you once believed something, you have to continue to believe it forever.”

“How we start our day is often how we live our lives.”

“It’s only a thought and a thought can be changed.”
